Radiohead, those online envelope pushers who were recently giving their latest album out for free download, have once again done something nifty: started their own social networking site, W.A.S.T.E._CENTRAL.COM.
Fans of Radiohead can now log on, chat with other fans, add them as friends, share photos and videos, get the latest tour info, and basically anything else that’s MySpace or Facebook-y.
And speaking of pushing the musical envelope, there are some great original special features. Currently the Dead Air Space section of the site offers a broken up version of their song Nude. Fans can buy the separate components or ’stems’ (bass, voice, guitar, strings/FX and drums) and remix their own version of the song.
So if you’re a fan, log out of Facebook for a second and check out www.waste-central.com.
