It’s actually dangerous
July 11th, 2014
You would think watching a movie garnered towards kids that you’d be pretty safe from having to deal with high emotional scenes. Most G rated movies are filled with flashy musical numbers, talking animal sidekicks, and cheesy jokes. But more often than not kids movies are more and more emotionally scarring and will leave questioning everything. Sure they’re filled with funny characters, a moral lesson, and a happy ending, but there’s always one scene that will really pierce your heart. Here are some of the most heartbreaking kids movies. Is your tissue box close?
1. The Lion King
MUFASA NOOOOO. Mufasa’s death was one of the most traumatic moments of my childhood. Still not over it.
I’m ugly sobbing right now. From not being able to have kids to Ellie’s death, Disney really knows how to make you cry ten minutes into a movie.
Toy Story 3
You know you teared up in this scene. They were all holding hands!
Why Disney, Why?! Nemo’s mom didn’t deserve this, and the theater full of 7 year-olds didn’t deserve to see me sob.
Marley and Me
Anyone who ever lost a pet know this pain.
The Fox and the Hound
When Copper protects Todd even though they’re not supposed to be friends. *Crying Emoji*
Bridge To Terabithia
We all remember this book from grade 5 but that doesn’t make Leslie’s death any less painful.
Who do we need to blame for the therapy we need for this scene?
And cue the waterworks.
