Wow! What a weekend! 6 stages, 3 days, 1 Island and over 100 bands equals a kick-ass time at the Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal. Arctic Monkeys closed the weekend out with their headlining performance on Sunday, putting on a killer set with hits off their latest album, AM, including ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High,’ and ‘Snap Out Of It.’
As much as we enjoyed ALL the amazing and talented performers at this year’s festival, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the fact that Osheaga isn’t just a music festival. Scattered across the grounds we came across various activities and art displays that shouldn’t go unnoticed.
Check out 10 reasons why we love Osheaga, aside from the music, and relive the weekend by checking out our #MuchOsheaga coverage on our blog. Hope to see you there next year!
Who doesn’t love a good chalk wall? Admit it, if you go to a friends place and see a chalkboard, you’re leaving your mark. And we did exactly that when we came across a custom Osheaga chalkboard on the festival grounds!
Everyone came for the music but sometimes we need a little quiet time too and thanks to the Osheaga Disco Silencieuse, we were able to work on our dance moves while giving our eardrums a break.
What is the one thing that could make dodge ball even better? Balls that explode on impact, releasing a burst of colour dust.
Standing on your feet for extended periods of time can be a challenge, but the random hammocks scattered throughout the forest made for the perfect resting station.
And who doesn’t love balloons. A fun way to pass the time while hanging out in the crowd between sets.
Why not check out some cool art while walking between stages?
They even had a giant Light Bright…
…and a mini city!
Possibly the best activity, a charging/wi-fi station where festival goers could meet some of their favourite performers.
