10 Video Games That Should Be Made Into Movies

As you are well aware by now, I’m crazy for lists of any sort. This list on Vulture (NY Mag’s entertainment blog, and also my blog find of the week!) on The Ten Video Games That Should Be Movies (and the Directors Who Should Make Them) is brilliant.

It combines some of the oldest (Duck Hunt, Tetris, Metroid) and newest (Super Mario Galaxy for wii [which is being lauded as the greatest game ever made and has a Metacritic score of 98 - holy crap, not to hijack my own post here, but should I go out and buy a wii immediately just to play this game?! I'm strongly considering it. This also may explain why I haven't heard from some of my friends since the release of the game yesterday morning. Wow. Um.], Grand Theft Auto) games in its list, and some pretty convincing arguments for why the biggest names in Hollywood (M. Night Shyamalan, David Lynch, Coen Brothers, Michel Gondry, etc.)
