Gimmie a P. Gimmie an R. And…Premiere is just too long of a word to spell. But you know what isn’t long? The wait for the series premiere of Hellcats on Much!

It’s what you’ve been waiting for. Not a sing-song sing-along of Glee. Not the rich and famous zipcode of 90210. Not a scary supernatural thriller like The Vampire Diaries. And definitely not the spoiled rotten socialites of Gossip Girl.

It’s a university with real girls trying to achieve their goals. And they’re not those cheerleaders that want to football star boyfriend. These are the cheerleaders that know they’re athletes and want to prove that in all their competitions and wins.

But they’re also human. How can teammates play nicely when they’re dating each other’s boyfriends? How can a coach lead if she’s concerned more for her job than the squad? How can a girl compete if she thinks cheerleading is lame?

Those are a lot of questions…but I’ll tell you one thing I know for sure. They don’t call ‘em Hellcats for nothing!

The show stars Alyson Michalka (Phil of the Future), Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), and Matt Barr (One Tree Hill). Hellcats is based on the book, “Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders” by journalist Kate Torgovnick.
