Oh dude. You think Jarjar loves monkeys? I love monkeys! Monchichi rules.

Ok, London. Where to start? The whole trip went by really fast, and it seems like I only saw London from the inside of a taxi. It was work around the clock so we didn’t get to look around that much or visit places like Portobello Market or Spittlefield’s Market. But who cares about that when I can say that I have now chatted with Justin Timberlake not once, but twice! Whee!

The Brit Awards were totally cool, although I’ll want to watch it for myself because we were backstage while it was actually taking place. The performances were great. Pink’s opening number will blow your mind. I think I’ve now decided that I’m a Pink fan.

We also got a chance to hang out with The Cheeky Girls. Should make for a funny MuchNews story. Their hit song was huge in Britain. It’s called, get ready for it, “Touch My Bum.” I asked them about nuclear disarmament and environmental issues like climate change. And then I said, “Touch My Bum.”

Now I’m off to listen to some tunes and get geared up to interview The Dears later on today. Gotta go! Tag, Ryan, you’re it.

How about let’s keep YOU busy for awhile, Jarman? You like monkeys. Who doesn’t? Here is where you can find tons of drawings of monkeys.

And while we’re at it, why not enjoy some Disco Squirrels?

With that out of the way, let’s get down to business. Where is the next unbelievably good record? I know we’re just coming up on March, and maybe I’m asking for too much, but I feel a little disappointed that nothing mind blowing has come to my attention. I’m still obsessively listening to Interpol’s Turn on the Bright Lights. It’s not that I’ve tired of it and even though it came out seven months ago, I can still listen to “Obstacle 2” on repeat all day long. However, something new would also be nice. The Roots‘ “The Seed 2.0″ is another Sophie’s Choice, but even Phrenology has been out for about 3 months now.

The new Justin single “Rock Your Body” is rocking my body, but where’s this year’s Yoshimi? Hannah, do you know? And hey, how was London?

Let the bloggidy goodness begin!

On a dark and stormy night I went searching for websites. Yes, that’s right. Y’all need some good websites to look at because this winter is never-ending, and things need to get a little more interesting in these parts. Voila! Some fancy-McFancy websites for your surfing pleasure.

This is a British horoscope site, and granted, I’m not big on the ol’ horoscope game, but occasionally, this site is uncannily accurate. What I especially like is that each day’s reading is a continuation of your previous forecast, which is sort of the way life is, right? Nothing changes overnight, and neither should your astrological predictions!

But, maybe horoscopes aren’t your thing. Try this out instead. This site is an excellent source for all of the TV/movie news you could ever want to read. It’s updated regularly, it’s easy to navigate, and some of the columnists that write on here are just plain funny!

Alright, so maybe TV shows, and horoscopes bore you. Want something completely different? Then check out Vice magazine’s site! If you’ve never had a chance to pick up a copy of Vice magazine and be offended, then this site will surely do it for you. (In case you don’t know, Vice is a free magazine that a couple of fellow Canucks started… it has since become a hugely popular industry, spawning clothing stores, a book and even a record label). Especially of interest is the Dos and Don’ts section… just pray that you never end up in the Don’ts.

Okie doke, last one. Just click here and go and look. Yeah, this site has probably been blogged a kazillion times, but, man, those kittens with their cigarettes and xylophones… well, it never gets old!

I’m so done… that should keep you pesky readers busy for a while.

Had to jump in here…went to see Sam Roberts on Friday night and it totally blew my mind! Seriously, if you get the chance to see him and his band live, do it. Thank me later.

Thanks Matt. It’s hard to believe that this is the end of my second week of work already…it’s gone by in a flash. I thought maybe it would be a good time to sum up my experiences so far.

It’s a lot of fun working here overall, but there are certain parts of the job that I know I already like more than most. One of these is just the walk from the subway to work every morning, as I’m greeted by MegaRick ™. That’s the name I’ve given to the absolutely enormous and freaky billboard of an orange-tinged Rick Campanelli that grins down from the east side of the ChumCity building. It’s a bracing and slightly intimidating sight and one that properly prepares me for a day in The Environment.

Not that The Environment is intimidating, really. But it’s such a hive of activity and so much is going on all at once that you sometimes find yourself going a little nutty. That’s when I settle down behind Cousin ‘Puter, plug in the headphones and throw on some Slayer. I can think of nothing better than Slayer to stimulate the little gray cells - and I’m sure Slayer fans would agree.

Another thing I really like about working here is the washrooms. Yes, that might seem to be a bit strange, but besides dirty socks, my biggest pet peeve is nasty washrooms. In the ChumCity building, there’s not one to be found - or if there is, I haven’t found it…

And I think the best thing about working here is all the smiling, happy people. It’s great to have co-workers like that!

So, all in all, it’s good food, good friends, good times. Or maybe that’s a better description for a restaurant. But it will have to do - the ADB is calling me!

And I’m calling JarJar: dude, are you smilin’?

Ironically enough, the two years I lived in Hollywood came at the tail of my seven year dry spell. As far as what I miss the most, being that it’s been three and a half months of one of the coldest winters in recent memory, clearly it’s the weather I miss the most. But i can’t say there is anything about Los Angeles itself that I miss… I do however miss Laguna Beach in the South and Santa Cruz in the North.

I too took part in a peace rally on Saturday here in Toronto. It was amazing to see that many people come together for one common important idea that war is in all cases the worst and last resort. Our rally attracted around 80,000 people of varying ages and ethnicities and included many from the Iraqi-Canadian community. Together we all braved the bitter cold to make our voices heard and this time people began to listen.

It was a balmy -8 C today and I was actually contemplating wearing short pants! No joke. I need to get back to having my face blown of by the new Hellfish & Producer album. How was your drive in this morn from the great white North there 2.0?

Drat! Kelly beat me to the tag … Here’s the kiss and tell behind Keltron’s dare. Girl likes boy. Boy likes girl. MuchMusic crew gets involved. Girl looks and acts like she’s in grade 10 on national tv. Girl swears she’ll get even. I’m still Flaking out from Banff. Whatta trip!

I’m also just back from … Hollywood, family circusing the city with the Crazies. Also checked out the Peace Rally on Saturday along with the cast of The West Wing. Ry, you spent some time drinking in L.A. What do you miss the most?

Alright, so here’s the dirt. …

Alright, so here’s the dirt. Jenn, George and I had a wicked time in Banff. When we weren’t tearing it up on the slopes, we were climbing waterfalls or givin’er in the clubs. One of my favourite parts of the trip was when we hooked up with a dude named ‘Crazy Larry’ (my friend Jim drove up from Calgary to visit me and had picked him up on the highway where he was hitchhiking to Banff). George, Alex (producer) and I ended up going hiking up a mountain with Crazy Larry. Dude, it was so steep. I kept thinking ‘If I fall I’m sooo f***ed’. But I just kept laughing and smiling cuz I was having so much fun, and Larry was so awesome (the dude goes hiking every day and skies down! Who does that?)

We ended up making a bunch of friends during our adventures, including this ski pro named ‘Hollywood’ who Jen became good buddies with. So of course, on the last day right before we were leaving, I decided to be an ass. I grabbed the camera and dared Jenn to give him a kiss. Never one to turn down a dare, she totally went for it! I was ever so proud.

Ever since she’s been threatening to get me back. Let’s just say that on the last night, I tried to convince a bunch of people who were hanging out in George’s hotel room that America’s Funniest People was a really good show. When it’s 4 in the morning and Dave Coulier is making you laugh, you know it’s time to go to bed.

All in due time, Justin, all in due time.

Yesterday, a friend emailed me a great link - you must click now.

Also, yesterday, on MuchOnDemand, we saw some tape of Jenn defending her reigning crown as “I’ll Take Any Dare” VJ. If you missed it, Jenn was dared to plant a wet one on some guy and she delivered!

I have to ask, what’s the story there Jenn? Who was the kiss-ee? I know you and the gang were in Banff for Flake ‘N Bake, but what exactly were you up to? Aside from asking permission to mack on that guy in the parking lot, of course.

Do tell!

Hannah, you can definitely get a “what what” if someone here will explain to me what that involves…see, it was my first day yesterday and so I’m not “down” with all the “MuchLingo” ™ yet.

But that’s cool - I’ll learn!

In any case, I should introduce myself. I’m Justin, I’m 23 and I’m a Capricorn. I went to school at Ryerson U. I like long walks on the beach and I also like to eat cookies. In fact, as I’ve told everyone here, I will do just about anything for cookies. I prefer the Chocolate Chip variety, in case anyone’s wondering.

I mostly listen to The Rock And Roll but I have been known to break out some old-school hip-hop or even some peaceful folky-type stuff - I’ll listen to just about anything, as long as it zaps my nut.

In my spare time, I play drums and sleep.  I also sometimes buy socks. I’m sure you can all agree: there’s nothing in this world better than a new pair of socks.

At Much, for the next few days at least, I’ll be moderating the MuchOnDemand chat - so come on in between 5-6pm today through Thursday to say hi!

Now, about that “what what”…who can help me out?  Maybe you can, Sophia!?
