- Here’s what happened when Ashton and Demi partied in Iowa: Ashton was nice, Demi was not, and the music by DJ AM was juuuuuust right.
- This headline says that Jen and Vince have admitted their relationship but really, it’s just a lot of hemming and hawing that’s kind of sort of related to their coupledom.
- Ashlee Simpson’s undergoing a total transformation? So, are those lips really altered or is it just the pose? Hmm. And I’m spent.
- Voila: Mariah’s pretty abs. (Clap, clap)

There is something so awe-inspiring about the work that Michel Gondry produces. It always leaves you feeling so giddy inside. Recently Partizan (the production company that reps Gondry), posted a two minute clip of his much-anticipated new film The Science of Sleep, starring the oh-so droolworthy Gael Garcia Bernal, on their site. Now, if you are familiar with any of Michel’s body of work you would remember the Foo Fighters’ ‘Everlong’ video. This particular clip bares a slight resemblance to the video itself. I guess we could say that The Science of Sleep is an extension of the music video. Many of the ideas and concepts such as the big hand reappear in the film. Watching this clip, you will feel like you’ve entered Michel Gondry’s brain; an eccentric and colourful world. If you want to see something that will blow your creative senses away, check this clip out. You will be inspired.
Since we are on the topic of creative geniuses, I must mention an up and comer that is worth taking note of. His name is Dougal Wilson and he is another one of those fantastically talented music video directors. My favorite video by him is ‘Three Girl Rumba’ by Klonhertz. Paper doll cut-outs, really how can you not love it?
Apparently today’s theme is creativity. Well to top things off, I recently caught the promotional ads for the new adidas shoe line, adicolor. For their campaign, they enlisted some of the most brilliant directors around to make their own interpretation of the colors white, red, blue, yellow, green, pink and black. By far the best one from the batch is the Roman Coppola co-directed piece for the color red. He takes us on a bit of a faux history lesson of the color red. If you are bored and need some eye candy then check out all of the ads. Oh man, I am such a nerd…
Peace Out.

Hey everyone, how’s it going? Sorry, I keep saying I’m going to write these more often but it seems like I never have enough time, but I’m going to continue to write them. It just might not be once a week like I hoped, but that’s still my goal.
For anyone that has been to Toronto ever, and has been up the CN tower…WOW! I hadn’t been since I was a kid, and maybe it’s not that cool and I’m just easily amused but I thought it was so cool, and standing on the glass floor, having dinner in the revolving restaurant - it was cool, I just thought I’d let you guys know haha.
It’s been a busy few weeks cause we’re getting ready for the MMVA’s, so keep watching and checking the website, it’s going to be a lot of fun. I’m really looking forward to it because this year I will be a part of it, past years I would be on the street in the crowd watching!
I also want to let you guys know of some concerts coming up, just local things that I’ll to be going to and if you can, you should check them out because they are great bands. On Saturday, June 10th Crush Luther & Cauterize at The Kathedral. (Crush Luther - 12am, Cauterize 1am). Rides Again will be playing the same night at the Rivoli @ 10, I’ll be there first then heading over to the Kathedral. I really hope to see you guys there! If you want to check out the bands, cauterize.com, crushluther.com and ridesagainmusic.com.
To answer a few questions from the last blog I wrote: if I wasn’t a VJ I’d love to be in a band and making enough money to do that and only that. Or I’d love to be a fire fighter, I went to school for it after high school. And someone asked what is the worst thing about being a VJ - and do far I can’t name anything! Maybe after I’ve been working longer I’ll have something to complain about but so far this has just been amazing fun. And what inspired me to audition for the VJ search was just my dream of being involved in the entertainment industry somehow. I worked up the courage with the help of a few people telling me to do it, and I got up on stage and did it.
Sorry if this entry is shorter then others, but I have to get some work done! Thanks to everyone who has been watching and supporting, I’m feeling a lot more comfortable in front of the camera, I know I still have more to work on, but when you guys are so supportive and show your support by either coming down or commenting on my blogs it really helps. Thanks again guys, I’ll talk to you later. Don’t change, don’t compromise who you are, and be proud to be you!

Well fancy that, it looks like the ex-O.C. star Mischa Barton is in Toronto. The young starlet was photographed gallivanting around town in a pair of red plaid shorts (nay), a gold chain (nay) and a vintage Bruce Sprinstein tee (yay!). Unfortunately for her, they did not catch her on her best day. Though I usually agree with Ms. Barton’s fashion decisions this outfit is a complete mismatched mess. Yes, we shouldn’t always scrutinize stars and blah blah blah, but honestly if you know you’re going to be out in public shouldn’t you at least look in a mirror?
Onto a career that Ms. Barton wishes she had - that would be Ms. Natalie Portman’s. Recently Natalie was spotted with our favorite Brokeback cowboy Jake Gyllenhaal. Oh yes, I’m sure rumours are flying like nobody’s business but really if this were true, wouldn’t they just be the sweetest little couple to hit Hollywood? I usually couldn’t care less about celeb couples but if these two were to hook up, I’d be the first to jump on the Jake & Nat bandwagon.
One last thing, Paul Gleason passed away over the weekend. For those of you who don’t remember who he is, he’s best known for his role as the principal in The Breakfast Club. Rest in peace.
Well that’s it.
Peace Out!

I’m gonna keep this on the down low between you and me: if you want to be here for this year’s MMVA’s listen closely. Even though this message won’t self-destruct in 5 seconds after you finish reading, it’s still mucho importante.
Step 1: Come to Much HQ, 299 Queen St West Toronto, on June 10 starting at 8am.
Step 2: Make sure you’re 14 or older and you have ID to prove it.
Step 3: You can only get one wristband per person, you put it on when you get it and you wear it until the awards are over (it’s like a badge of honour or something).
Step 4: Bring a non-perishable food item!
Step 5: Drool and salivate and know that the wristband is for outdoor performances only!

This one time, at MuchMusic, we announced the performers for the 2006 MMVAs. And just to make myself clear, that was today. I mean, right now. AT THIS MOMENT. Can you take the insanity? Don’t answer that.
Here’s what’s currently tickling my fancy: Nelly Furtado. I’m gonna be all up on that shiznit when she’s doing sound check, man. She should probably just give me the mic. Timbaland will be here too, and you know what that means - jacuzzis and women! No, just kidding. It means that we’re sure to hear the hotness that is “Promiscuous”!
Also whetting my appetite is Metric and Rihanna. Metric know how to put on a Show (notice my purposeful capitalization) and I’m still not tired of “SOS” (which Rihanna better perform, *shakes fist*).
So, in other news, since I’m rambling, here are the other performers that’ll be taking the stage oh-so-triumphantly on June 18 (complete with hilarious puns):
Fall Out Boy. Sugar, you’re coming down to see this happen.
Simple Plan. Shut up! No, I’m serious. Is everybody crazy? No, they’re not.
Nick Lachey. What will be left of his cheese tray in his green room?
Hedley. Their performance is sure to be a real trip.
City and Colour. Save your singing voice cause you’ll want to croon along!
Oh, that was painful (the puns). But how ’bout that lineup?

- Paris Hilton boycotts her movie at Cannes. The reasoning is asinine, you can read it here. But what I’ve got beef with is, uh, they’re showing a National Lampoon movie at Cannes? Quoi?
- Brad & Ang have announced the birth of the fruit of their loins, but apparently what everyone cares about is WHAT DOES JEN THINK? Gasp, shock, etc, etc.
- Hee hee, look at Jude Law. The un-stud.

Last year April gave me the book Coraline to read - I loved it, it creeped me out, it was a perfect dark and eerie kids book. But I didn’t know until now that they’re making a Coraline movie, so, yay! AND IT BETTER BE GOOD.
‘Ere ees zee poster!

Hey! You! Get into my car! Danananana … get outta my dreams! And into mah carrr. Oh, sorry. I didn’t realize you were there.
Um anyway, let’s get this shizzle on the rizzle. Omg, did I just say that? I’m so embarrassed for myself. So anyway, the latest update as of this moment is that Gwen Stefani is in labour with her little Gwenabee. Exciting! Together, they shall rule the world. Oh, and Gavin Rossdale can come along too, but just to go on water runs. UPDATE! Gwen now has a son named Kingston. Aww.
While we’re on the topic of babies, I’ll just let you know that Geri Halliwell named her daughter Bluebell Madonna. I’m pretty much convinced that all celebrities are in this secret competition for who can come up with the most original (read: weird) baby name. And then they release them to the press but really, their babies are named like, Billy and Amy.
Madame Tussaud’s wax museum really believes in bettering our world. Case in point, their Bring Back Britney campaign. Yup, they unveiled a sexy Britney version year 2000 statue and there’s a petition you can sign to save Britney from, well, everything. Kevin, cheetos, reckless baby driving, and so on. Join the fight. You too can make the world a better place. Hey, and apparently she kicked out K-Fed, but we hear that about once a week and won’t believe it til she says it. So there.
Jack White has left Detroit, everybody. Don’t go there to search for him, like you were planning to. Go to Nashville. Jack said in a recent interview that Detroit has become way too negative, and he couldn’t take it anymore. And in talking about Detroit in this negative way, he TOTALLY GOT REVENGE on the city for being such a jerk.
Beyonce thinks that Jay-Z is a fatty. Tsk, tsk. Ok, I’m being mean, but the supposed truth is that she put her man on a diet to shape up for wedding time. I wonder what a beefcake Jay-Z would look like? Oh yeah - still not hot. (Sorry, sorry, I love Jay-Z).
Brandon Davis apologizes for being a douche. He doesn’t mean it.
Hasbro was gonna make some Pussycat Dolls dolls, but not so anymore. After pressure from a parenting group, the toy company has pulled the plug on the most natural progression of marketing in history, perhaps. Oh well, it woulda been a waste to make all those Ashley, Melody, Kimberly, Carmit and Jessica dolls. Everyone woulda bought Nicole.
Looks like Jessica Simpson won’t be reappearing as Daisy Duke. Why? Cause the movie’s a prequel. Ohhhhhhh, ok. That makes sense. But if it’s cause Jessica couldn’t live up to your standards, you can tell us, we won’t tell anyone.
Madonna angered Catholics when she included a mock crucifixion in the first show of her concert tour, but she responded by saying, “I don’t think that Jesus would be mad.” Hahaha, she’s probably right. He’d be in the front row screaming the words to “Like A Prayer” and pointing at the cross saying, “she’s totally shouting out to me!”
That’s it. Get outta here!

See this game? It’s called Ball Toucher. It doesn’t require much explanation or instruction, but it’s addictive as sugary crack balls (that’s what I like to call M&Ms). I’ve only been able to play twice, but only due to the sheer strength of my awesome will power (ha!). My high score is 118 balls (WHICH I WILL BEAT) - but what’s yours? (Please note: I WILL EVENTUALLY BEAT YOU)
