*Evel Knievel, the ultimate Daredevil, has passed away at age 69.
*Hate going to the dentist? So does this creepy robot.
*Darren Hayes of Savage Garden fame performs an acoustic cover of “Gimme More.” Why won’t this song just die already?
*Like game shows that ruin the lives of their contestants? Then ‘Moment Of Truth’ is the show for you, you sick bastard.
*The Spice Girls make a Tesco Commercial. I don’t know what Tesco is, but they seem to have a lot of “pudding.” Why do Brits love “puddings” so damn much?

Hey everyone, it’s been a busy, busy few weeks! I want to tell you about a few interviews I did, but first want to let you know about my most memorable drive to work. I was driving along Lakeshore, traffic was busy as usual. Then all of a sudden I’m sitting absolutely still three cars back from something stopping all traffic right across the road! Then I see something as they pass in front of the cars ahead of me…Canada Geese! I’ve had lots of animals cross the road in front of me before, but never in Toronto! So I got a kick out of that…but everyone reading this right now probably isn’t…
So let’s move on to interviews…I talked with Cute Is What We Aim For and Boys Like Girls. Both amazing bands, and so down to earth. I don’t really know what else to say about these guys other then that they are really cool dudes! Talked about kids growing up to fast and all the drama that people deal with while growing up and I totally agree. I have spoken about it before and totally think that way too many people want to grow up so fast and don’t enjoy being a kid and the whole growing up process.
I have always tried to stay as young as possible and will always…I don’t drink, I don’t smoke and I don’t do drugs…that stuff is only going to age you and make you look like an old man when you are 25. I see friends now I knew in high school and they look like they have grown up so much and I still look like I did when I graduated. So don’t get caught up in drama, don’t rush yourself into growing up, you have your whole lives to be old…have fun and enjoy being young while you can get away with it! lets be honest…it’s funny when you see some 35 year old dressing and acting like they are 19, but we never want to be that person.
Anyway have a great weekend I’ll talk to you later!
Tim

I’ve always thought Beyonce was crazy, but I could never fully pinpoint why. She perplexes me on so many levels that I have become a paradox of emotions, of thoughts, of dreams. But now, Rich from fourfour (my favourite blog-ologist) has perfectly articulated my love/hate for this woman and has created a little video montage of all her crazy over-the-top antics.
I’ve watched said video not once, not twice, but thrice (!) and I still can’t get enough. Beyonce is downright coo-coo bananas and I love it.
Thanks Rich for making me understand my emotions and for making my Friday evening one of clarity.

Hey guys,
Just a quick reminder that World AIDS Day is tomorrow, December 1, so as I result I’ve been working really hard to put together a special edition of videoflow (today @ 2pm ET) to recognize the devastating importance of not only the education but effective ways to prevent the spread of HIV.
A lot of people who live in the first world assume that AIDS is something that only affects Africans or gay men, which obviously is completely wrong. In fact the new highest HIV infection rate in Canada is among young, white women.
I’m not going to pretend that it’s easy to not sound like somebody’s mom or dad when talking about AIDS and HIV, so we want to turn the tables. If there’s anything you have ever wanted to know about AIDS; rumours about statistics you’ve heard, things you’re not sure about, or maybe even a personal story related to HIV, we want to hear from you!
You can send in an email in anonymously if you prefer, the point is to get as many people involved as possible. Get involved! Be a part of the solution!
Email me @ worldaidsday@muchmusic.com.
Can’t wait to hear from you!

James Franco as Justin Bobby and Mila Kunis as Audrina = F***ing Priceless.
Please do yourself a favour and watch this re-enactment of a scene from the Hills.
Mila’s Audrina mannerisms are to the tee. Gawd, I now have a deeper appreciation for these two actors…
Sidenote: Judd Apatow produced this short! WTF?

10 years ago Daft Punk released their first live album, Alive 1997, and it was a fantastic dance romp, but at that time the duo had only released their debut album Homework. Nothing compares to Alive 2007, an amazing - nay, perfect - setlist recorded from their June 14, 2007 show at Bercy in Paris, France that includes excerpts from all three of their albums.
If you missed the once-in-a-lifetime chance to see Daft Punk live when they rolled through town this summer (a show that I’m sure will top many ‘best of’ lists at the end of the year), do yourself a favour and listen to the next best thing - Alive 2007.
The album’s out next Tuesday, but we have a First Spin of the entire thing going, so have a listen. Track 5, Around the World/Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, which was widely circulated after the band’s set at Coachella in April 2006, remains one of the most amazing and seamless mashups/segues I’ve ever heard. Track 3, Television Rules the Nation/Crescendolls is also pretty fking great.
Check out this official ‘launch’ video for the album made by two Daft Bodies. At first it seems pretty basic, but once it gets going you see how coordinated and choreographed the whole thing is with the lyrics. Also, who doesn’t want to hear Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger one more time?
P.S.: Daft Punk don’t appear to subscribe to any particular “rules” when it comes to making music, but if their release schedule is any indication (albums in 1997, 2001, 2005), does that mean we have to wait till 2009 to hear some new material??
P.P.S.: This Tuesday, December 4 (to coincide with the album’s release date), our ringtones store will have FIVE Daft Punk truetones for sale. I have personally been waiting MONTHS for this moment. Can’t wait to have Rollin’ & Scratchin’ as my ringtone!

Hey, Banana Chiq here.
So listen, RE: these Banana Guards…I might seem thick-skinned but I’m actually sensitive when you peel back the layers.
You wanna talk trauma? Being smushed into a plastic log: Does that sound good to you??
Okay, I wasn’t gonna say anything about this…but when I was younger, I had another kind of trauma. It was with an ape. I don’t wanna talk about that though.
It was even worse than being stuck in the plantation office for 4 years. I couldn’t go to the gym, and my body got all mushy, and I looked skinny fat.
Just by the way - who do these jokers think they are?

And people find the Banana Guard soooooo suggestive, right? Their website even mentions the idea of a battery attachment? Well, just try ACTUALLY BEING INSIDE one. There’s a ride for you. From the depths of a bag on the subway, it’s like riding flippin’ bareback.
On a totally unrelated note. OMG! My skin has been soooooo yellow these days. (Does this ever happen to you???) Too much time in the sun beds I guess. And the toxic spray to make you darker…it’s giving me the flakes!
So like you’d expect, I’ve been peeling like crazy…and long strings of skin too. I’ve been thinking of maybe smoking them. I heard somewhere they can make you high.
Anyway, not to get you down or anything.
Keep on peelin’…
- Banana Chiq

You’ve heard of The Pussycat Dolls, All Saints and Spice Girls, but what about Girls Aloud?
I used to consider myself a huge anglophile, but apparently not big enough, cause I’d never heard of Girls Aloud before a friend of mine urged me to listen to their latest album, Tangled Up, which just came out last Tuesday.
Sometimes huge British phenomenons never make it to our continent, and Girls Aloud are a great example of this. All of their albums have gone platinum or double platinum in the UK and they’ve had 17 top 10 hits. Somehow though they just haven’t found a North American audience…which is weird, considering the popularity of other all female groups…
So far there have been two singles on Tangled Up and both are terrific: Sexy No No No… and Call The Shots. It’s pure, unadulterated sexy pop. A really great album - I have to give it a few more listens but I can quickly see it nudging Blonde Redhead’s 23 out of the tenth spot on my Best Of 2007 list.
Facts:
* Girls Aloud formed as a result of the 2002 series Popstars: The Rivals
* Girls Aloud hold multiple records - among them, the record for the shortest time between formation as a group and reaching number one in the UK Charts (for the single Sound of the Underground)
* On the Japanese version of Lily Allen’s debut album Alright, Still, the song Cheryl Tweedy refers to Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole (nee Tweedy). [P.S.: This is an incredible song and I always wondered who the hell Cheryl Tweedy was!]
* In 2008 the girls will star in a television series called Passions - the premise of the show will be for each girl to achieve something that they have always wanted to do in life (polo, a cosmetics line, street dancing, you name it).
