* Place your bets, it’s Ontario versus TicketsNow! Thank you, fair province, for stepping up to bat on this one.
* America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks stalker has been convicted of, uh, stalking. Sounds a little judgemental for the creator of True Beauty to press charges because this guy outwardly appears to be stalking her. What about inner beauty, huh?
*Um… so Britney Spears wants a stripper dance pole installed in a London hotel room while she stays there. I think enough has been said.
* In international news, Fake-Beyonce fools museum in Vienna. Maybe Obsessed hasn’t been released there yet, and they haven’t had enough ogle-time to be able to tell the difference.
* Judas Priest guitarist K. K. Downing has opened a golf course. He’s also gone on record saying he wants it to be a “top-class golf centre with no snobbery”. Uh-huh. Then perhaps he shouldn’t have built it next to his English mansion.
* How do you steal a tour bus? And what do you do with it once you’ve got it? The Dears would sure like to know…

Listen up! I can’t believe we haven’t talked about this before now. Those big geeks (like me) out there should already know that the new Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is coming out in practically a month and a half. That’s like 6 weeks, or 45 days, or 1080 hours… ish…
Sooooooo, I’m thinking everyone else needs a little incentive to start keeping track. Good thing some new posters have been released today, huh? Are you as psyched as I am?

I don’t know if you’ve been paying close attention to the previews for the new Matthew McConaughey movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, but just in case you were wondering - why, yes! That IS former VJ Amanda Walsh playing a bridesmaid/supporting role.
After leaving MuchMusic in 2004, Amanda moved to LA and has taken roles in several TV and movie projects. I chatted with her on the phone about her role in a flick that includes big cheese actors like Jennifer Garner, Matty McC and Michael Douglas!

You might have seen some reports that rapper Eminem has a trailer out for his new music video to “3 AM” (which is promoting upcoming album Relapse). I am still not sure how you can make a trailer for a 5-minute music video. But anyway.
In the words of so many before me, this thing is wack. Like some sort of messed up combination of The Ring and The Blair Witch Project. Scary things in this trailer: Blood defying gravity, scary hospital staff, invisible man wheelchair races, and Eminem naked.
I think the question we’re all asking here is: WHY is Eminem naked?

[MuchMore's Daily Fix blogger Pop Killah checked out Adele last night, and he's still crying tears of joy..]
By Pop-Killah
I start this review with a sigh. Her preshow music was “Single Ladies”, which once again reinforces that Beyonce is Queen of the world… but as soon as Adele walked on the stage the night was hers.

When I was growing up, my mom used to buy me the People’s Most Beautiful People issue every year. I think it was some sort of subliminal message to me, a lesson in pretty, because I was more akin to Little Miss Sunshine on too much cake than young Julia Roberts. Just kidding. It was cause, like most of us, I had a certain fascination for the pretty people of the world - cause after all, they’re what make it go round. (I hope you realize I’m being facetious with that statement).
Where am I going with this.. People Mag is about to release their “Most Beautiful 2009″ issue, and they’ve got a sneak peek on their website. You’ve got the usuals (Halle Berry), the new kids (90210 cast), and one of my faves, Kristen Wiig. Check it out…

* So sorry Jessica Alba, not even being the Invisible Woman can get you out of trouble with the law. That’s what you get for driving the wrong way down the road. Nice try, though.
* Not cool: Chris Brown’s lawyer trying to get his case dismissed. If nothing else, at least Rihanna got her bling back…
* What’s even more bizarre than Sarah Palin appearing on American Chopper? That a motorcycle is an appropriate gift when Alaska turns 50. Geez, you’d think it was having a mid-life crisis or something.
* Sign of the Apocalypse #1: Avril Lavigne has been chosen as some sort of Ambassador to Canada now. Listen, I loved Sk8ter Boi too, but Avril can’t even sell me a camera, never mind represent my country.
* Sign of the Apocalypse #2: Coldplay has apparently started producing techno music. Now you know that something has gone horribly, horribly wrong. I’m hoping it doesn’t end with the world exploding.

If you don’t know The Sounds by now, I get the feeling you will before 2009 is through.
The Swedish band, whose third album Crossing the Rubicon drops June 2nd, will spend the summer on tour with No Doubt. If the crowd response at last night’s sold-out Mod Club was any indication, The Sounds brash, electro-pop rock is catching on.
It doesn’t hurt that lead singer Maja Ivarsson looks like a supermodel and spends most of the show dancing up a sweat. She oozed confidence from the start, strutting to the microphone as she brushed off her shoulders. Introducing the catchy new single “Nobody Sleeps When I’m Awake,” she declared, “I know you’re gonna like it.”

“Lisztomania” by Phoenix is one of those songs that you quickly assume is laced with some sort of addictive substance. Chocolate, maybe peanut M&Ms, maybe AN ILLEGAL DRUG. At first you’re like, “I’m just gonna listen to this song once.” Then, “oh, just one more time.” And before you know it, you’ve listened to it 93 times in a row.***
But someone made it even better. This is a little old now… but I just remembered it and it wasn’t posted while I was on vacation, so I feel like it’s my duty to share it. So check this out - a perfect blend of 80s brat pack movies and “Lisztomania” - almost like they were born to be together.
PS: This has more YouTube views than the official video. Funny!
*** May be an exaggeration.
