It’s actually dangerous
August 30th, 2011
2012 is gonna be a FAN-FRIGGING-TASTIC YEAR! Let me just get that off my chest. Okay, I’m good now. Why is it gonna be an awesome year? Two major movies a long time coming will finally make their debut!
Bearing all the fruit of the many Marvel superhero movies before it, The Avengers is finally hitting the screens May 4th, 2012! And the final chapter of Christopher Nolan’s dark, gritty and Oscar-nominated vision on the caped crusader, The Dark Knight Rises hits screens July 20th, 2012.
But I can’t wait until then to talk superheroes, so here’s what we know so far about these two EPIC movies – images and video clips and spoilers below! YOU’VE BEEN WARNED:
I’m sure you’ve all seen the awesome one-sheets for each of the film, but have you seen the group shot of all The Avengers together? It made it’s debut earlier this year at ComicCon in San Diego, but here it is in full:
If that doesn’t do it for ya, check this bad boy out (it’s the cover to Iron Man 1&2, Captain America, Thor and The Incredible Hulk movie-tie-in comics released in previous years, plus some new S.H.I.E.L.D. material collected together in an uber-collection for The Avengers movie next year):
And around the same time, these babies made their way online to do nothing short of making us almost crap our pants:
The Avengers (contains spoilers from the ending of Captain America if you haven’t seen it):
The Dark Knight Rises:Now, onto what we know is going down in New York and Gotham City!
First up, Avengers news:
There’s gonna be explosions galore in The Avengers, as production in Cleveland sent peeps running!
And whatever The Avengers are fighting, you know the military are only gonna make it worse (check it out at the 1:20 mark):
SPOILER ALERT: the stuntman is all decked out in motion-capture tech, so the big bad’s gonna be CGI…and you get a look at the weapon which doesn’t look like it’s from Earth….
Now onto The Dark Knight Rises…
…I’m sure you’ve all seen the pics of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle and her famous alter-ego, Catwoman, as well as Tom Hardy as Bane and Marion Cotillard as someone named Miranda Tate sitting on top of a newer, army-fatigued Tumbler.
BUT what you may not have seen is the prison breakout in Gotham City…
…or the fight between Batman and Bane…
…or an even more choreographed fight between Batman and Bane:
SO WHATTAYA THINK? ARE YOU PUMPED? I’M PUMPED! WHICH ONE ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST?Tweet
