On Friday, July 24th, I got the opportunity to go on a date with Tim Deegan to go see “The Ugly Truth”. Not a conventional “man-date” kind of movie, but it was a decent romantic comedy for what it’s worth.

Despite the nerves I had going in to the entire experience, everyone at Much made me feel really at ease and internally calmed me down. Tim was really nice and cool, putting up with me for the time he did, he should get an award or something. The movie was a well-deserved three shirtless Deegans out of five. Sorry that they couldn’t pull off a five for all the girls out there who want to see a shirtless Tim. Maybe next time?

It was extremely surreal at first being in the Much building, especially because the only other time I had been there was in the audience. Sandra, Brenda and Tim made me feel really welcome, providing me pizza and drinks, although missing their Bingo event was slightly disappointing.

Despite pouring rain and ominous thunder in the background, doing the on-air segments with Tim was a memory I’ll never forget, it was one of the greater experiences of my life. I would hope I didn’t do too poorly, if I did, neither Tim or Brenda said anything. As lame as it is, holding a MuchMusic mic is pretty awesome!

It was over too soon and I only wish I could do it again. So thanks to Tim, Sandra and Brenda (the stage director who helped me) and to everyone at Much for giving me this opportunity.
