Adam Lambert has released one of the best music videos of 2012 with Never Close Our Eyes. The pop singer has created a mini movie with his music video, where Lambert and his peers are trapped in a totalitarian jail and force to spend their days swallowing pills, being subjected to laser eye scans and hard labour. Lambert and his fellow detainees take their chance to break free at the end of the song, with colourful results.
Taking inspiration from science fiction books and films like 1984, Brave New World and Gattaca, the impressive set, featuring futuristic furniture and machines, along with the washed out make up and clothing of the dancers fit perfectly with the video’s concept.
Adam was in studio on last night’s episode of New.Music.Live., where he co-hosted the entire hour along with host Lauren Toyota, who he spoke to about his new album Trespassing and the significance of the sophomore disc debuting at number one of the Billboard 200 charter. “Music doesn’t have an orientation, music doesn’t have a preference,” Adam explained. “Music is universal, we all love to dance, we all love to feel, and we all love to sing along to stuff. Doesn’t matter if you’re gay, straight, black, white, girl or boy.”
