I took a cab this morning (on account of the rain), and the driver laughed at me when I put on my seatbelt!?(?The back seat is safe?, he proclaimed.) He then proceeded to tell me that old ladies always put their seatbelts on right away, but he was a little taken aback because ?you can?t be more than 16.? Uhh?ok, 16 it is!
Moving on: it seems as though this 16 year-old has become an addict.
Don’t get your panties in a bunch – I’m not talking nicotine or trans-fats. Nothing that will slowly kill me or cause harm in an obvious manner.
I’ve been here before, albeit with a subtly different addictive delight. Two-ish years ago, I was buying slushies?almost every day. Small size at Macs (formerly Beckers), $1.02. Or if I was feeling slightly adventurous, a trek to 7-11?for an always exciting array of flavours.
But now, I have discovered something that takes my money, on average, 3 times per week: Bubble?Tea. More selectively, the slushy kinds. 75% of the time with tapioca, the remaining percent without. This is a new thing for me, a 2004 thing – I had tried it before with mixed results. Then came the day that I stumbled upon Bubble Tease?in the Eaton Centre – the Mecca of bubble teadom in my humble opinion. There, I have sampled flavours ranging from pina colada to blueberry. Green apple to taro. Honeydew to black currant. Recently, I?ve been sampling the tea across the road from work – verdict? Pleasingly delish. Now I will have to do everything in my power not to buy one every day.
Do not be afraid, fair children, of the bubble tea! Embrace?it!!?
PS: I bought two pairs of sneakers?on ebay in 2 days. Is that bad?
