Adele dethrones the King of Pop with her album 21

What is that moment that you know that you’ve finally made it? When you get covered on YouTube? When you sweep the Grammys? When Time Magazine declares that you are one of the most influential people on the planet? Or how about when you do better than the King of Pop himself, and make an album that does better than Thriller?

All of these moments of achievement are a reality for Adele as it was just announced that her album, 21 has surpassed Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller in the U.K.’s All-Time Biggest Selling Album list. 21 is also the biggest selling album of the 21st century and has been going strong for fifteen months since its release. The number one on this list goes to Queen with their Greatest Hits album. We suppose if Adele can usurp the King of Pop, it is only a matter of time until she can topple a queen.
