Ah yes, Ryan…upcoming shows. This summer’s going to be a busy time for concerts, and the mayhem starts next week. The NXNE fest is going on from June 6-June 8 which I’ll be checking out - probably seeing a couple of bands a night. Then there’s Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at Lee’s Palace next Thursday, then Friday I’m checking out the lovely and talented Beth Orton at The Opera House, and then Saturday - as Ryan mentioned - the amazing Hives roll into town. I wasn’t expecting to be able to see The Hives until just a few weeks ago, when they switched the show to a larger venue and released more tickets for sale. Oh happy day.

That’s just next week…I’ll also be catching The White Stripes later this month, and The Breeders in July. I’m still debating over whether to spend the $90 to go to Moby’s Area2 fest. As much as I’d love to see him and David Bowie play, that’s one hefty ticket price.
