Ahmed Ismail Sheds Light on Somalia

K’naan briefly returned to his hometown of Mogadishu, Somalia, where he visited malnourished children during a tour of the city’s Banadir Hospital on Sunday.

“I came to Somalia to see the situation here and give any donation I have to the people and anything else available,” he told the press. “I will do all I can to help my people in Somalia.”

The country is in the midst of one of the toughest times in its already difficult history, undergoing famine, and oppressive, violent living conditions under the militant group Al-Shabaab.

On Thursday night, Somali-Canadian filmmaker and activist Ahmed Ismail paid a visit to RapCity to discuss the country’s situation with T-RexXx.
