For those of you who haven’t seen it yet, Alicia Keys is getting her Prince on in her new video, “Like You’ll Never See me Again”. Lucky for you my friends, it’s on MuchAXS.

Oh, but don’t worry, when I say she’s getting her Prince on, I don’t mean she’s draped in yards of purple velvet. I mean this song shimmers like “Purple Rain”. Looks like Ms. Keys may owe Prince some money for slightly/seriously jacking his musical stylings – or if she gets to him before he hears the song, she can give him some ‘keep quiet’ money.

Fun Facts/Not-so-factual anecdotes about this video:

FACT: Diane Martel directed the video. She also did Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” video. I’m beginning to think Ms. Martel likes to make Alicia cry ’cause she’s bawling in both clips.

NOT-SO-FACTUAL: Apparently there was a revolving door between the set for Common’s new video “I Want You” and Alicia’s, so the two artists decided to play “video tag” by starring in each others’ clips. Chase me Common … CHASE ME!

FACT: Alicia is no dummy! She uses videos as tools to get some of the most beautiful men in Hip Hop to star alongside her as romantic counterparts. First Mos Def in “You Don’t Know My Name”, second Meth in “If I Ain’t Got You” and now Common!?!?!?!

BIGGEST FACT: I am crazy jealous of Alicia Keys … so help me God if she finagles Nas into her next video … So help me God!
