Finale Friday 7E/4P
June 11th, 2012

We’re one step away from the finale of Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew Season 7: Return of the Superstars and we have only three crews left: Mos Wanted Crew, 8 Flavahz, and Elektrolytes. This week we have international DJ David Guetta supplying the tunes with a twist: each crew has to use three songs in their routine (David Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj with Turn Me On, David Guetta and Usher with Without You, and David Guetta featuring Kid Cudi with Memories), incorporate the use of gloving and gliding, and emulate a Nicki Minaj doll. Challenge accepted! If you haven’t yet, watch the show here. So, how did the crews fare? Read along and glide with us.

Thank you Mos Wanted Crew for waking up! Their performance was smart, calculated, and strong. There’s so much thoughtful choreography, it is nuts! The judges really liked this performance too, earning them the validation of being in the top three.

And check it, 8 Flavahz! Each week their outfits never fail to amaze us. They had great energy throughout their performance and it felt like they were trying to push themselves harder and push the envelope and step outside of their comfort zone. And again, the judges agreed with their performance.

And Elektrolytes rounds out the top three with one of the most electrifying performances yet. They might not have Ian the Heartthrob and they might not be the cutest bunches of girls, but we might say that they have the best heart. And the judges agreed to this as well.

As we await to hear who made it to next week’s finale, we get a performance by all three crews to David Guetta’s Titanium featuring Sia. After they announced that 8 Flavahz made it to the finale, Mos Wanted Crew and Elektrolytes prepare for battle.

Though it gets really heated and we know that both Mos Wanted Crew and Elektrolytes want the title of America’s Best Dance Crew, there can only be one winner and one second runner up.

It’s Mos Wanted Crew and they unfortunately have to walk the stage for a final time. Ian, we will really miss you! Sob.

Sadly, the Mario Lopez Quote of the Week has been replaced the week with the D-Trix Quote of the Week: “You made me want to pee!” – D-Trix on 8 Flavahz. Yikes.
Now here’s the deets on next week’s episode: It’ll feature 2012 MMVA performer Katy Perry and she will be helping the crews create their moves. The finale will air on MuchMusic at 7pm ET/4pm PT this Saturday, June 16. But before then we’re going to have an ABDC Marathon before the finale starting at 10am ET/ 7am PT on Saturday, June 16 so set your PVRs and get ready for the best season yet of America’s Best Dance Crew.
