American Idol hits up Springfield

Idol Judges Get Animated

Randy, Ellen, Kara, Ryan, and that mean Simon Cowell are coming to judge the most famous animated family of them all.

Details are scarce, but in the season finale, airing May 23, the host and judges of American Idol will appear on the show in a plot that involves bartender Moe Szyslak, possibly vying for a judge position.

The finale airs three days before American Idol closes its 2010 season.
