So last night we all witnessed as Jaslene won America’s Next Top Model. Woo. Hoo. Sense my excitement? *barf*

Needless to say, I was kind of disappointed. Sure Jaslene was “fierce” and had an uncanny resemblance to the always “fierce” Janice Dickinson, and picture-wise, she was the front-runner from way back in episode 1, but man-oh-man, how great would it have been if Natasha had actually won?

Kooky, crazy, always entertaining, always optimistic, always hilarious, always NICE Natasha. I loved her mysterious Russian past and her bizarre “making out with the cell phone” antics, and her commendable ability to take any form of criticism and turn it into positive reinforcement. She was the true underdog in the competition. I’m a complete sucker for the underdog though – they get me every time. Previous blog posts of mine attest that I even rooted for the once-overweight-now-uncoordinated Chelsea in The Search For The Next Doll. The results on that show disappointed me as well.

But why do I even really care? These “Top Models” are never heard from again anyway, but regardless, in my heart, Natasha will always “be in the running…to become…America’s. Next…Top. Model…”
