Amy Winehouse’s mom says she “has come back as a butterfly”

Amy Winehouse’s mom apparently believes in reincarnation. In a recent interview with Hello! Magazine, the singer’s mom Janis said that she thinks Amy is still present on earth, but in the form of a butterfly, explaining, “I’m pretty sure she has come back as a butterfly, because she would love the freedom of flying.”

Since Winehouse’s death last July, parents Janis and Mitch have created the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which aims to help disadvantaged young people. Janis admits that focusing on this has made dealing with her grief easier for her, but adds that “there’s a huge hole in my life – I used to speak to Amy every day. Sometimes I wake up sobbing.”
