Hello, hello!

I have some very sad news…

our amazingly awesome and epic tour is coming to a fast approaching end!

I know everyone always says that “blah blah flew by quickly,” or “OMG, it seems like just yesterday!” Truthfully, this tour feels like it did in fact start only yesterday but unfortunately for me it has been nearly two and a half months to the day. I’ve seen enough crazy things, gone enough places, and laughed my ass off enough to know that I’ll never be able to replace this time of my life ever. We were lucky enough to take out a bunch of amazing bands like The Latency, The New Cities, Jesse Labelle (Dan, Mike and Kyle too!), These Kids Wear Crowns and a whack of killer local bands here and there to keep the party fresh! I’d like to thank every single person in those bands and crew for helping make this Faber Drive’s biggest and best tour yet. We’re going to miss seeing all of your road tested faces and all of the fans every day. Thank you.

Today I’ll be spending my afternoon doing some press at various Edmonton radio stations and then off to crash the mall with The Latency, Jesse, his band and These Kids Wear Crizzzowns! It’s nice to go on tour and be around super cool, rad people every day. I’m pretty sure we’ve all made a lot of new friends over the past few months. It doesn’t hurt when your local friends want to hit up a stellar dinner either! (DIE YOUNG COLLECTIVE REPRE$ENT!)

Aside from seeing the mall and seeing some radio stations, today seems rather relaxing which is awesome since we just played seven shows in a row. After playing three provinces in a week, taking part in the Memorial Cup madness in Brandon, Manitoba and chasing fires in Regina with various tour mates, I think I deserve at least some of a day off don’t ya think? I’m only joking. Touring is incredible and both the ups and the downs make up something you’ll wish you could hold on to forever in the end.

Bring your party shoes Edmonton!
