Saturday Night Live is being sued over two popular Andy Samberg skits. According to The Hollywood Reporter Aleric Banks (“Rick tha Ruler”) and fellow collaborator Monique Hines are suing SNL AND Andy Samberg for allegedly stealing the music used in the short skits “Shy Ronnie” and “Like A Boss”.
The skit “Shy Ronnie” was nominated for an Emmy Award and featured Rihanna and Samberg as robbers with Samberg rapping alongside Rihanna. Banks and Hines, who work for recording company StarStrukk Productions, say they created the music used as the main theme of the two skits. Hines and Samberg used to collaborate on songs frequently in the past, creating comedy hip hop routines.
SNL and Andy Samberg have not commented on the allegations yet.Tweet
