Angela Simmons Running The Fashion Beat

Angela Simmons may be best known as the daughter of Run DMC’s “Rev. Run” Simmons (and as the star of reality-show “Run’s House”) but she’s also an accomplished designer. She’s started a successful shoe and accessories line called “Pastry” (named-checked by Jay-Z in “Empire State of Mind”) and now she’s branching out with a new clothing line called Angela Renee (her first and middle names).

The line will apparently feature a mix of casual and high-end clothing, with “versatile” pieces that make it easy to mix and match. We don’t think Simmons will actually be sewing the clothes (that’s what they have co-designers for!) but she says the collection will be based on her sketches and ideas. Look out for the Angela Renee Collection this fall!
