Anjulie is in love and on the run in her video for You And I

Anjulie has released her video for You And I and turned up the sexy. Taking a break from her dance-fuelled videos for Headphones and Brand New Chick, You And I features a softer side of Anjulie, who shows off her acting chops and a bit of skin in the new vid.

Kicking of the video on a tear-stained bed, Anjulie runs away from home to be with her boyfriend, making the refreshing casting choice of a South Asian lead male. Anjulie and her boyfriend are on the run first from her parents and later from the police when their means to getting money turns out to be very, very illegal (also, no masks?).

Stripped down and simplified, Anjulie drops her usual wardrobe of neons and prints for a subdued look in the video, leaving her hair wavy and face make-up free. Anjulie even strips down her voice, giving fans a mini-acoustic performance of You And I at the end of the video and proving that her pipes aren’t manufactured in the studio.
