Arcade Fire: Black Mirror / rorriM kcalB

The Arcade Fire once again thrill me with their website. A few months ago, they were being all weird and cryptic, but now they are just straight-up offering the goods: another interactive video, but this time for the song “Black Mirror.”

Go to www.rorrimkcalb.com, and “please be patient” (aka “play around with the mirrored cursor for a bit”), and then watch the latest black and white video whilst having complete control over the audio via your keyboard. You can cut out the vocals, the instruments, backing vocals, or leave them all in – either way, it’s an intriguing premise and 100% fun. So try as many different variations of the song as you like – my favourite so far is to leave in all the vocals and just the percussion.

I’ve tried it a few ways now, but be careful: I now can’t get the damn song out of my head.
