Although it’s only March, the summer festival season is already creeping up on us. The line-up for the 2010 edition of Montreal’s Osheaga Festival has been announced and it’s looking pretty rad so far.
Arcade Fire, Weezer, Pavement, Metric and The National will headline the festival over the weekend of July 31st and August 1st.
As you can tell, it’s focused more giving folks some indie rock, but also on the bill is Deadmau5, The Cat Empire, Keane, The Black Keys, Stars, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Robyn, Jamie Lidell, Beach House and more.
And that’s just the “On The Island” event.
There will also be an event called “In The City,” a four-day event (July 28 – 31) spread throughout Montreal’s bar and club scene. So far the only artist confirmed for that is hometown synth-huggers Chromeo.
Beginning March 27th, tickets will run you $65 for a single-day ticket and $120 for a weekend pass. You can also upgrade to a reserved seating pass, which will cost $100 for a single day and $190 for the weekend.
Organizers have also announced a limited quantity of early bird and pre-sale tickets on sale March 23rd, where weekend passes will be $100 and reserved seating going for $170. A pre-sale will then follow on March 25th, with weekend passes priced at $110 and reserved seating costing $180.
You can get all the need-to-know info over at the official site, Osheaga.com.
