For some reason North America has developed an unhealthy fascination with celebrity offspring, culminating with day-to-day updates of Suri, Shiloh, Maddox, Lourdes and Rumer. Are daily exploits of Britney, Paris, Lohan and Miley not enough?!! Waaaait a second... Miley IS a celebrity offspring!! *world implodes*
Anyway, I gotta say that when I heard the concept of this new show Rock The Cradle, I was all, "psssshhhhh, whateva." And then, "however, I will totally watch this." And also, that magazine cover with a photoshopped duo of Suri and Shiloh is supa-dupa cute. So I guess I'm a hypocrite and a bad person and can't complain about kids being all the rage. Humph.
So back to Rock The Cradle - it's this singing competition type show (you know the drill), but the candidates vying for superstardom are kids of the already (once) rich and (once) famous. To wit:
The kid: Landon Brown
The parent: Bobby Brown
I hope: That being in this competition is Landon's prerogative.
The kid: Lucy Walsh.
The parent: Joe Walsh (The Eagles)
I hope: That we don't have to hear "Hotel California" more than twice. (I know, I know, it's a good song but let's not overdo it, k?)
The kid: A'Keiba Burrell
The parent: MC Hammer (!)
I hope: That A'Keiba comes equipped with Hammer Pants.
The kid: Lara Johnston
The parent: Tom Johnston (Doobie Brothers)
I hope: ...I don't know any Doobie jokes. Besides the obvious, using the word "doobie". I won't go there.
The kid: Chloe Rose Lattanzi
The parent: Olivia Newton-John
I hope: That things don't get too physical in this competition... actually, I do.
The kid: Crosby Loggins
The parent: Kenny Loggins
I hope: That there are many references to Footloose.
The kid: Jesse Money
The parent: Eddie Money
I hope: That she's not in it for the money... he's already got that.
The kid: Jesse Snider
The parent: Dee Snider
I hope: That Jesse's Dad didn't pass along any style tips.
The kid: Lil B. Sure!
The parent: Al B. Sure!
I hope: That Lil B. is sure he wants to do this. GROAN.
AAAANYWAY, enough with the Dad jokes. If you're interested in this sort of thing, you can tune in on Sunday, April 20th at 6pm. And as we are wont to do these days, expect blog recaps!
Hahaha! I have been involved with this show so I am pretty excited to watch it all unfold. Any guesses on who you think is going to win it all?

Without knowing anything about these kids as it stands, let's just say Landon. Mostly cause his Paw sings "Every Little Step". AWWW YEAH.

This is the gheyest idea ever. Whoever thought of this stupid, *unoriginal* piece of trash should have their head mashed into a pile of asses so high there'd be no possible way to dig themselves out of it.
Oh wait... isn't that what happened? ;\
Yeah. Nevermind.
Bottom line, this idea -- much like the rest of these rehab-"survivor" spinoffs stinks puke.
Please, if you're going to call your ideas like this "original", at least keep them tied down & locked away in your mother's basement, never allowed to see the light of day.
Shows like Dexter and House are "Original".
This shit is just that -- pure shit.
Anonymously Yours,
-Me.

Why don't they show any interaction with the Rockstar Housband??
The host sucks; shold replace him with Brooke Burke

Had to turn it off during the last performance. Not a performer among them. Some of them were as bad as the American Idol audition clips. Who told these people they can sing?

At least Crosby looked to be fronting the band. Rockstar Houseband rules!!!

Only 2 of the judges have a clue what they're talking about! Why on earth would you want your fate decided by some stylist or choreographer no has ever heard of?!?! They are qualified to judge this because.......?????

WHOOOOOOO is seeing BELINDA"S racism!!!!! what a bitch!!!! did u see how she reviewed landon brown vs lara?? she had the nerve to give him a 6!!!!! HE demolised lara and YET, lara had a 8.5!!! They both made mistakes certainly, but that was absolutely unreasonable. i also noted that the host didnt address belinda's scoring and didn't make her accountable for her comments... thats not fair judges need to be held acontable ESPECIALLY when there is clearly a bias involved....

HONESTLY the finalists should have been
Jesse Snider, A’keiba, Lara J and Chloe (which i didn’t think at first but now see that she’s finally found her style) I don’t know what went wrong… A’keiba’s elimination was SOOOO WRONG!!! Apparently REAL talent isn’t enough anymore… SAD DAY FOR HUMANITY!!
AND I AGREE WITH ELISABETH THERE'S DEF SOME RACISM GOING ON!!
OH and ALSO!!! … the judges… huh! what to say about those judges… WOW! I REALLY fail to see (judging by their resume) HOW HOW HOW they are qualified to judge talent… do they really know ANYTHING about the MUSIC part of MUSIC Industry… I mean it’s unquestionable that they have the INDUSTRY part down.. but… APPARENTLY all you need to be a judge of talent is to have passed more than 45mins with a celebrity… hey i think i might qualify.. where should i sign?!
