All right so my brother (or should I say brotha) Paul started a little thing he is calling GC3. I guess I will continue it, since it's a pretty neat and simple way to fill a weekly blog.
Oh but first, I just want to say, Paul is the best co-host anyone could ask for. And we've never even met. WTF is up with that? Ya we've never met...but I feel like we have. It's cool.

Listen to the QOTSA discography: last week Paul mentioned "if you love QOTSA then you will love The Fed Pennies" ... perhaps. They SOUND exactly like QOTSA but watered down...A LOT!
I just saw QOTSA last night in Vancouver. Holy shit! They are the best. I've seen them one other time, in a much smaller venue, and it was the loudest show I've ever been too. This is what rock 'n roll is. I don't know how they do it. No fancy pants shit, just straight up, dirty, gritty, sexy, rock 'n roll. Anyway, I am obsessed with Era Vulgaris but after last night now I'm back into all their records full on. I've neglected them over the last couple years. Anyway get them, however you want (Rated R, Songs for The Deaf, Lullabies to Paralyze, Era Vulgaris) and let's listen together and rock out! mmmkay?!

The Foundation (2301 Main Street, Vancouver): I have to have something specifically west coast in this list. The Foundation is a restaurant in the city that fuels my life when I don't want to cook. What more can you ask for: a strictly vegetarian fare, open till 1am every day and they play nothing but hip hop...good hip hop.
Watch Going Coastal this Sunday at 11pm ET/8pm PT to see me bail on a snowboard and meet the coolest person of all time ever, this hot dog vendor in Halifax named The Dawgfather. Seriously he might be cooler then Snoop D-O-G-G...naw, but close!
