MMVA08: AfterMath Rockout

June 15, 2008

mmva-aftermath-performance.jpg

Are you guys watching the MMVA08 AfterMath?!

It's streaming LIVE on muchmusic.com until 11:30pm ET!

Bedouin Soundclash & friends are currently rocking out in the Much Environment. I'll keep you updated with the setlist as it happens. Cuz we're nice like that, ya know?

St. Andrews
I Wanna Be Sedated
Can't Hurry Love with Zaki Ibrahim
Should I Stay Or Should I Go with St. Alvia Cartel
Come Dancing with Sam Roberts & K-OS
Mirror In The Bathroom with Wade MacNeil of Alexisonfire (aka Black Lungs)
Pressure Drop with Everyone
Dancing In The Dark with Arkells & St. Alvia Cartel
A spontaneous acapella rendition of Yesterday by K-OS

That was awesome! It's cool that all this Canadian talent got together and just rocked it out. A total basement/garage jamfest. Hopefully this becomes tradition, for suresies.

Holy crap! They're still going! It was originally only supposed to go until 11:30, but it looks like these guys are enjoying themselves...

Don't Let Me Down with Everyone!

Ok, NOW it looks like it's over. Wow - what a night. My hands can't take the typing anymore!

Thanks for a great night, everyone!

UPDATE: Watch it again in MuchAXS!

the FULL aftermath shouldve been briadcasted on MMM (only part of it was) - esp that the stream connection is choppy.

It was on 21! I watched it there, and it was great. Even though half the time the mic wasn't on loud enough. Haha the end was great: "You f'ed it up!"

the show rocked, flo rida had a bit of an ashlee simpson moment, & i really wish i could have seen the after math but as always much delivered like no other awards show. i just wish the inside venue had been used during the show, like with swollen members .. those days were AWESOME!!! MUCH I LOVE UU!!!!! XOXO a devoted fan for over 14 years

Was good to see Donnie finally realize acting might not be for him. Of course, can't say much for his music these days. On another note, I do hope somebody bothered to capture the stream for later-posting, YouTube or elsewhere.

Posted by: X at June 16, 2008 01:39 AM

Hedley won best loud? I will never watch another show or anything on Much again - ever - unless they change best loud to worst group in the world

Posted by: stizzy at June 16, 2008 09:25 AM

OMG the MMVA's were fucking sweet!

Posted by: Lindsay at June 16, 2008 03:49 PM

The show was pretty good, felt kinda un organized or something at times buit still good. but what was with flo rida...that didnt go too well..

Posted by: Q at June 16, 2008 04:21 PM

You mean they didn't?

Posted by: Senester [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 17, 2008 06:36 AM

I thought the camera sucked so bad during performances, especially during Girlicious and NKOTB. Were they lip-synching or what? There were basically no close ups of the performances. I waiting for 2 freakin' hors for the New Kids and only saw them from a distance...lame and totally pissed.
