You guys are mediocre, I agree with the judges... I'm sure you guys are nice people but your music just isn't good and you will never make it, the judges were right because they have seen 100 other bands exactly like this...

I'm annoyed as a person in a band that a band like this got so much exposure and the episode will be on loop for reruns for weeks...

kay well I may come off as a total prick but I feel as if everyones allowed an opinion soo just hear mine out. Quinn when you spoke you did sorta come off a little douchy and I thought that before I even read what you wrote in this blog. Whenever you spoke or laughed it seemed so forced, maybe it was just you acting because the cameras were rolling or whatever... as I said when you spoke it seemed scripted. It bothered me a lot.

Their song wasn't to original at all to be honest, catchy chorus doesn't mean a song is amazing, it just means a section of the song is enjoyable. Everyone repeats one word continually in a chorus, (ex. whatcha got got got gotta give it to me sounds similar to a lot of pop tune chorus) reminded me a lot of the new Mobile song ( ima huge mobile fan btw :) ) Matt (mobile's singer) continual does ohhhhhs and yeahs throughout the chorus. Girlfriend by avril lavigne has the same pattern in a way "hey hey you you" and such in the chorus. People need to think when they say someone is and/or isn't original. I liked your style though, very original in my opinion(Total contradiction there). Quinn was an okay singer not to amazing and I want everyone to realize that catchy music isn't always the best type of music. Metro Station aren't good because they write a catchy tune with no emotion or meaning.(I am clearly referring to Shake It btw) The Foo Fighters write songs from the heart and are always entertaining and original.

And P.S. Much Music can you pleease stop trying to shovel crappy pop music down viewers throats. I enjoy all types of music but Lady Gaga? c'mon she is humping a whale in the music video and people just over look the sexual content in the video because the song is catchy. Cut the crap for a week and let people open their eyes and decide whats good and whats tasteless.

loved the song! really catchy, lyrics were absolutely amazing! I really hope you guys choose to ignore the advice of the judges because you guys really do have potential. As for the judges' comment of not knowing exactly who you are yet as band you should ignore it as well. I do agree but that sort of thing will come with time and more songs written.

all in all I really hope you guys continue to make music because your song written in 24 hours was pretty damn good.

But the judges were right about one thing which was you should disband. There really wasn't anything that you did that another band couldn't, if not better. Oh, and not as in insult, make your music at the equivalent level as your singer's voice cuz right now it sounds awful XD. And your drummer needs to be WAY more creative than that. Okay so, when i saw the show, I couldnt get Funeralistic out of my head. I loveed the song. I think the judges were wrong to Disband you..I think you all had a lot going for you and to write a song in just one week was ridiculous; turned out really good none the less.
I 100% disagree with how the judges said that you guys were like every other band out there. If so, you wouldn't be getting this many great responses from fans. Hopefully the judges will see this and realize they made a huge mistake.
Keep writing/making the great music that you do, and I'm looking forward to hearing some more music from you guys.

Okay well I am sick of reading how everyone disagrees with the judges and hates them. The panel of judges are all experts when it comes to the music Business, even Hannah Simone(like really If she didn't know jack sh** about music then why would she be working at Much MUSIC) Everyone needs to realize that this catchy sound is whats in right now and thats why the song wasn't original or to good at all. I've seen the episode at least 20 times now(no word of a lie it's been 20 times in the past two weeks) because it's on constant loop on the station. Once you watch the episode more then 2 or 3 times maybe then you'll understand where I am coming from. Quinn's voice is below par(no offense but you should take some vocal lessons if you don't already Quinn). I could go to any club or bar in Canada with an open stage night and see what I saw from The Homecoming. To like them because "they're cute"?! You have to be kidding me if thats the reason why you like them. Music is becoming all about image now and less about sound. It's the people who come on here insulting the judges and saying that Quinn is cute that are destroying the music industry. Take in more then what you see or hear people. Sure a songs catchy, but that doesn't mean it's good.

Why bother wasting your time to try and make someone else look lesser then they are and, stop criticizing a song that they only had one week to write. This band went on here as a group of friends having a good time with music, and all you can do is point out how "unprofessional" they are. I hate to break it to the two or three people on here who think so highly of themselves as to post on here how they're "sick of reading how everyone disagrees with the judges" and how they've "seen the episode twenty times in the past two weeks", but if this band was professional they wouldn't have been on the show.

If you're sick of reading/hearing about/seeing them then turn off much music, and don't scroll through pages of positive comments and write rude things to make yourself feel better. Why waste your time?

Not everyone is going to like every band, every song or every album, it's a fact of life, but don't ruin if for the rest of the people who enjoy it. It's differences that make life interesting, so don't ruin it for the rest of the population.

Keep up the good work, write newer better songs that took more then one week to write and prove the haters wrong. :)

This is Rafe. I just wanted to say for the guy above that The Homecoming is a damn good band. That song "funeralistic" is a really great song. I hear tons of songs from unsigned artists at open mic nights and there really aren't many of them as good as that one. I think of the Homecoming actually puts their nose down and tries really hard they have a good chance at making it in the biz. Not to mention, they are only 19 so they still have a lot of time to get better.

I've seen this episode of Disband... like, hmm.. 3/4 times. I do think your song is catchy, and your style is great, but immediately, when I heard the chorus I thought of "There's A Class For This" by Cute Is What We Aim For. The verses stray out of the CIWWAF song, but the chorus kinda nailed it down. I do like you guys and I hope you will succeed in the music industry in a few years from now. The drummer is very eccentric, and Quinn is cute, but none the less, it is the MUSIC that counts.

first off, i must have missed the memo that said we had to "look like rock stars" to be in a band, but the boys in Nickelback seem to have that one covered for us, so i WILL stick to video games and finding my dads porn - which is far less tasteful then my own, of course. as for the drinking thing, judging somebody's level of cool based on how much alcohol they can consume is SO 90's. Having said that, the rest of the boys and myself would HAPPILY drink you under ANY table ... well, that is to say, IF you were cool enough to roll with us nerds ... which I'm gonna go ahead and assume you're not - despite your verbose and witty, ALL CAPS, critique of we lads.

I dont think you guys are good. Maybe after some singing lessons and the main guy has to stop hogging the attention. It seemed the whole time all I saw was Quinn.

Decent band, but I agree with the judges completely. They seem generic. I don't see any real potential. Although I wouldn't quite say they should disband. They might come up with something really interesting if they keep at it, but they've got a long way to go.

these guys suck big time especially the off tune vocalist who cant sing sh@t. he also seems very much about himself.
