Now that Twitter is experiencing a sort of explosion (think Facebook circa fall 2006, but maybe not quite that magnitude), artists and celebs are popping up all over the place with new accounts. Some caught on early, some are just joining the club but the coolest thing to see is that many of them are tweeting personally, whereas many (not all!) MySpace/Facebook pages are run by a record label or marketing department.

Some Twitter feeds are managed by secondary sources (Britney, I’m looking in your direction), but most of my faves spew random thoughts and updates from their own brain. Some take over my feed with too many links (Erykah Badu, hi!), some are thoughtful (?uestlove, hai) and others interact with their fans. Seeing Shaquille O’Neal post things like “Im n love wit da city of toronto” makes him seem way more human (and way more 14-years-old). And then sometimes… sometimes you get comedy gold from the likes of Diablo Cody, when she says the likes of: “OMG, I’m at Baja Fresh and they have a Diablo Taco. I’m like ‘Me too, IN MY PANTS.’”
