Watch Sunday, April 13
Miley, Charlie and more!
January 26th, 2014
Last week we put together a list of reasons why we would be tuning into SNL this past weekend to watch Jonah Hill host (check it out here). Although we tried to be pro-Jonah and bury our number one reason in a list of achievements by Hill, we really just wanted to see whether Leonardo DiCaprio would show up. Well, blog and ye shall receive.
Actually, our entire wish list was pretty spot on. Hill reprised his role as six year-old Adam Grossman, a skit that I assumed was first pitched as ‘bringing a child-version of Woody Allen to Benihana’s’. Unfortunately, this was the least funny Grossman out of the three times Hill has played the role, but we were still happy to see the mouthy adolescent.
Bastille likely gained a legion of new fans with both of their incredible performances, all the more impressive since the songs were performed on the SNL stage (almost no one sounds good on SNL).
But lastly, and most handsomely, we only had to wait five minutes for the Wolf of Wall Street himself, Mr. Romeo, sir Jack Dawson, the brother of Gilbert Grape, etc. etc., Leonardo DiCaprio. It was funny, it was unexpected and it was all glorious. Come back anytime, Jonah.
Bonus Michael Cera FTW.Tweet
