Avatar leaves people blue

Avatar besties

Seeing Avatar makes people blue! (Awful joke, couldn’t help myself.) But fo realz, movie goers are becoming depressed after seeing Avatar, and not just because of the ridonkulous ticket prices for 3D IMAX movies.

Some audience goers have said that after seeing the film and experiencing the beautiful world of Pandora they have become depressed that they will never see the real thing. I get it, I really do. Pandora looks about as sweet as it gets. I was always bummed that there was no such thing as Willy Wonka’s factory, where everything was made of candy.

The good news is that many of the depressed viewers have found relief on the online forums dedicated to the topic.

Odd though. Who knew that James Cameron’s flick about a horrendous boat crash that left thousands dead would be less depressing than a movie about cool blue people who live in trees?
