Avril Lavigne has filed for divorce from her husband, Deryck Whibley.

Nearly a month after she announced they had separated on her MySpace page, Lavigne filed documents last week citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. The divorce papers also reveal that couple had been separated since September 4th.

Avril is not asking for spousal support, but is asking that Whibley, the singer of Sum 41, doesn’t receive any either.
