Awkward. Ep. 7: Another One Bites The Dust

On this past week’s Awkward. it was Aunt Ally’s wedding and we were all invited! Jenna is living in a post-sex world with Jake and is just waiting for the time to tell him she loves him. Did you watch Another One Bites The Dust yet? If not, do it here and read the recap with me!

The Hamilton girls are getting ready at the house with Aunt Ally, Sadie, Tamara, and the wedding planners. Aunt Ally is full-on Bridezilla and Jenna is the “Little Bitch” once more except this time she’s a flower girl. Yeah (like that’s not awkward). While the Tamara and Jenna are planning their day, Jenna and Ally butt heads which causes a five-alarm-freak-out and then Ally is then short one flower girl.

But what Jenna doesn’t expect is that Ally has invited Ben, Jenna’s mom’s first and only boyfriend prior to her (separated) husband. Jenna then is put on Other Man Patrol.

Jenna enlists the help of Val who comes to the rescue. Val’s mission? To distract and to take Ben’s attention away from Jenna’s mom.

However Aunt Ally is on a extreme cray-cray rampage and interferes with Jenna’s plans as much as possible. Including…

… making the girls wear their hair Leia-styles.

Matty stops by to drop off a tux and Jenna and him have a sweet moment, acknowledging how things hurt but they’re troopers despite what they had.

Jenna interrupts Ben from trying to get in between her parents and Ben tells her that she should learn from his mistakes and not to let things go so far.

Meanwhile Lacey asks Ally why she was so hasty to get married. Ally finally reveals it: he was the first man to ever really love her for who she is and she doesn’t want to let that go. This inspires Jenna.

Throughout the wedding Ricky and Sadie had been flaunting their new love and it had been peeving T, J, and Jake to no end. Jake confronts them and Sadie spills the beans: Jenna and Matty were in love.

And all the while Jenna is sending Jake an “I love you” voicemail.

Oh no. Jake knows. What’s going to happen now? Guess we’re going to have to watch the next Awkward. Thursdays at 10:30pm ET/ 7:30pm PT after Degrassi right here on MuchMusic.
