Awkward. Ep. 9: Homewrecker Hamilton

Jenna has been in a confused cycle since the wedding. Jenna started and erased a million and one text messages to Jake, wondering, asking herself why would he just break up with her. And why did she turn to Matty?

Then Jenna gets this text from Jake. Yeah.

You actually see the girls go “Ohhhhhh…!” here. It’s nuts. Ming suggests that Jake got the photo because he potentially went back to see if Jenna wanted to get back together.

While Jenna is off trying to get Jake’s attention, Ming gets cornered by a very helpful Becca. Becca creeps me out.

Jenna finds Jake (finally) and he tells her why he broke up with her. He knows everything.

Turns out Jake won’t talk to Matty either. At the Pep Rally, Matty and Jenna watch as Jake hosts the show and Jenna decides to make him listen and tries to get on stage with him.

And guess what happens next?

The boys get pulled into Val’s office and Matty and Jake have a terse conversation.

At home, Jenna blogs her heart away. But when The Anonymous Commenter encourages her to share her thoughts…

… But now the whole school knows about her life. Intimately.

Oh right! Ming and Fred Woo meet up in the Sanctuary. Apparently, there’s a difference between a “White Bitch” and an “Asian Bitch” and Ming’s gonna find that out real quick because Fred’s ex … is Becca.

Fast forward again, Jenna is still reeling from humiliating Jake (turns out they didn’t have sex in the van) and almost gets hit by a car. Sadie sees and takes joy in Jenna trying to “kill herself… again!”.
