Woah, girl. We’ve been fans of Awkward. since day one and we’ve never seen they show’s star, Ashley Rickards, quite like this before. Ashley’s character on Awkward. is exactly that: a somewhat redemptive but still shakily confident teenaged girl who probably wouldn’t be caught dead in a black catsuit. Or a dress made of latex. Or a sequined cape. But that’s the cool thing: Ashley can portray that type of girl but also represent other sides of her personality.

In the show Ashley’s character hid behind her brown hair and now Ashley is absolutely vibrant with her new blonde locks. In the interview with Annex magazine Ashley talked about being herself saying, “When I went blonde, I wanted to have more fun. And no matter the color of my hair, the outfit I wear, or the make up I apply, I know that I am still Ashley. And this blonde will be as creative, daring, and giving as she can be, in each moment and having fun doing it”.
