BEAK> – “0898″ (stream)

We’ve got good news and bad news for Portishead fans. Last year the band reunited and start working on new material. Geoff Barrow said he wanted to start working on his portion of the record this year (he also joked that his portion might take a decade to finish, though I’m not so certain he was joking). The bad, but not so bad news, is that Geoff was clearly occupied with his side project BEAK>. BEAK> released their second record, BEAK>>, this year and Geoff is currently working on a Deluxe Edition. “0898″ is one of the tracks only available if you go deluxe. “0898″ is a bit more guitar based than the rest of the record. This is likely the best of the rest (with regards to the entire Deluxe Edition), but trip-hop fans will eat it up anyway.
