Beastie Boys’ MCA “feeling healthy”

Beastie Boy Adam “MCA” Yauch is on the mend.

After discovering a cancerous tumor in his left salivary gland back in July, Yauch sent an email to fans today saying that he’s “feeling healthy, strong and hopeful that i’ve beaten this thing.”

Some time in India where he studied with the Dalai Lama, began some Tibetan medical treatment and restricted himself to a vegan/organic diet seems to have done the trick.

As for that new Beasties album we’re all waiting for, he said “we have not set a new release date for the record yet, but i’m hoping it’ll be in the first half of next year.” (Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 was originally scheduled for release on September 15th.)
