How much do I love the “social experiment” that is Beauty & The Geek…? THIIIIIIISSSSSSSS MUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH.
Last night’s season premiere was absolutely splendid. It started off as a fun romp across the States to hold open casting calls for this season’s cast. The judges of these casting sessions were last season’s lovebirds Nate & Jennylee, and on this journey we met two stand-out Geeks: the happy, lovable Tony and the charming dork-fest that is Joshua. I believe these two, with their gung-ho attitudes, will make it far in the competition.
But this season there is a TWIST! At the end of the episode, after teams of two were made, a tenth team was introduced - compiled of a male beauty and a female geek!
If you’ve never seen this show before and you easily scoff at it then you need to check your shallow attitude at the door. This is one of the only reality shows that actually has heart - even though these contestants are fighting for a cash prize, they actually go through personal journeys and learn from one another. Yes, Beauty & The Geek is not just hilarious, it is also extremely touching.
Oh, and there’s nothing sweeter than when a Beauty falls in love with a Geek. Everyone wins!

Yesterday’s season opener was great! I am definitely rooting for Tony, the guy is cool, i just know it, and he is teamed up with the hottest girl of the competition AMANDA! She picked him too. You have already won my friend.
I didn’t get a chance to watch last season so would you mind filling me in on the past winners? Is that who those judges were, searching across the states? Are they a real couple now? Are they the two in the picture above?? (the blonde is really hot, actually I think she’s one of this years contestants yes?)
Oh and Jen about the male “beauty” he is actually an actor; Sam Horrigan. He is being talked about on IMDB look it up. Apparently a friend of Ashton Kutcher (producer of the show) This bastard better not mess things up for Tony.

It’s annoying the male beauty is an actor. I thought the female geek might be an actor as well. They seemed so “dressed up.”
@Geek: Yeah, Nate & Jennylee weren’t winners, but they hooked up last season. I don’t know if they are still officially together, but they seemed to be in good spirits and stuff, so if it ended, it doesn’t look like it ended badly
