Taco Bell is known for its innovative approach to fast food by thinking “outside of the bun.” But did you know that the “largest Mexican-inspired quick service restaurant in the country” is also a pretty serious music fan?
For the fifth year in a row, the Bell has awarded its favourite 365 bands $500 in Taco Bell Bucks as a part of its “Feed The Beat” campaign, which helps “touring music artists by picking up their post-show late-night dinner tabs so they can focus on their true passion: music.” Some of the lucky bands to receive the Bucks include Best Coast (pictured), Tokyo Police Club, Travie McCoy, Andrew W.K., Cobra Starship, Les Savy Fav, Passion Pit, and Wavves.
A generous offer, no doubt, but didn’t they realize that the music industry is swarming with vegans who would never, ever take a run for the border? Well, I guess it would make a nice Christmas gift for that ground meat-devouring younger sibling.
