Best Games of 2009

As the years pass, video games have become insanely realistic and super addictive to play. 2009 saw a number of great titles released on all platforms and some that were exclusively for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or Wii. Here is my top five list of video games in 2009.

5. Forza Motorsport 3
Forza 3 is the third installment in Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport series. Right from the start it’s clear that Forza 3 is much improved from Forza 2. Everything in the game has been improved from the graphics to the handling of cars to the career mode. Forza Motorsport 3 is the best driving game ever created and is a must have for any racing fan!

4. Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman: Arkham Asylum kind of flew under the radar and has received an insanely huge response. Arkham Asylum is based on the DC comic and is played in the third person perspective. Batman: Arkham Asylum is an action-adventure game that focuses on combat, stealth & detective skills to complete the game.

3. Assassin’s Creed 2
Assassin’s Creed 2 continues right from where you left off in the first Assassin’s Creed. This time being based in the 15th century in Italy, Desmond continues to relive genetic memories of another ancestral assassin Ezio Auditore. Unlike the first one, AC2 is less repetitive and has a lot more secrets that you uncover as you progress throughout the game. If you enjoyed the first Assassin’s Creed there is no question you’ll enjoy Assassin’s Creed 2.

2. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

Among Thieves is the follow up to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, also released in 2007. Uncharted 2 is an action pack third person shooter that will keep you on the edge of your seat. From amazing graphics to the great storyline, Uncharted 2 will keep you entertain for a while and is a must have for anyone who owns a Playstation 3.

1. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was probably the most anticipated video game that i can ever remember. Continuing from the first Modern Warfare, released back in 2007, you are faced with a bombardment of action right from the get go. This game is action packed and for anyone who likes a first person this is a must have. The levels are pretty balanced out as it goes back and forth between stealth type levels to fast paced running and gunning type levels.

Honorable mentions go to Left 4 Dead 2, UFC 2009 Undisputed, Need For Speed Shift, GTA IV: The Ballad Of Gay Tony & New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
