Best of 2010 Prospects

April 8th, 2010

2009 truly was an exceptional year for new music. But now, well into 2010, the question is: how do you follow up on an album that was deemed “Best of 2009?” The answer is of course, with something even better! Three groups that led the pack last year have done just so and proved that they aren’t just one-album-wonders. By the sound of these new releases, I’m predicting this year to shape up to be just as impressive as the last.

Neon Indian – “Sleep Paralysist”
Since the success of last year’s debut album Psychic Chasms, I have been craving more Neon Indian. Finally, available for free is a new single over at Co-produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear, it’s no surprise that it sounds so good. Does this mean there will be an album released soon?

More tunes after the jump.

JJ – “Let Go”
The dreamy Swedish pop duo JJ have definitely done it again. The single “Let Go” has been released from JJ’s newest album jj n° 3, out now. It’s a stunningly beautiful song with an equally as beautiful music video.

Here We Go Magic – “Collector”

Due out June 6th is Here We Go Magic’s sophomore album Pigeons. If this catchy single is any indication of what to expect from the rest of the album, we’re in luck!
