BET release their list of the top 10 rappers of the decade

BET has released their list of the top 10 rappers of the last decade, from 1999 – 2009. Eminem takes the number one spot followed by Lil Wayne, Kanye West, 50 Cent, T.I., Ludacris, Drake, Young Jeezy, Jadakiss, and Rick Ross.
The criteria for the list included “flow, lyrics, subject matter, cultural impact, dough, and as needed in the arsenal of a 21st Century rapper – digital skills (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, their own website, etc.).” The list included rappers whose careers began after 1999.
In the words of the great Crooklyn Clan, where the ladies at? Missy Elliott entered the game in 1997, Eve in the mid nineties, Queen Latifah and Salt ‘n Pepa in the ’80s and the late Lisa Left Eye Lopez passed only three years into the decade. But for real, where the ish is Nicki Minaj?!? Recount, y’all. Re-count.
