A star might be born, but it won’t be Beyonce’s baby. Okay, that was a bit sad for an intro but something sadder is that Beyonce will no longer be in Clint Eastwood’s remake of the classic film, A Star Is Born. Beyonce released a statement saying, “I was looking forward to the production of A Star Is Born and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood,” she explained. “For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together.” Beyonce was first attached to the film in early 2011 but the birth of Blue Ivy had postponed the project.
Apparently there is buzz that Esperanza Spaulding will replace Beyonce for the lead. Esperanza is best known for that Grammy win besting Justin Bieber for Best New Artist in 2011. Beyonce might not be associated with the project anymore but we’re excited for potential new projects from the Queen Bey.
