Beyoncé is set to headline Chime for Change’s The Sound of Change Live concert in London on June 1. The concert, which will be televised around the world, includes an incredible line-up of talent such as Haim, Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora and John Legend.
The 31-year-old pop diva is the co-founder and artistic director of Chime for Change, an organization in collaboration with Gucci that works to raise awareness and funds for female empowerment.
“Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible,” said Beyoncé today at a press conference in London. “I am excited for us to come together on June 1 to bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage.”
Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini added, “We have reached a significant moment in the history of girls’ and women’s empowerment and now is the time for change.”
In addition to the musical performances, ten short films that highlight various women’s issues will be broadcast.
Tickets will be available for purchase at chimeforchange.org starting tomorrow.
