Daddy Knowles wants this rumour mill to stop churning: He’s setting the record straight – Destiny’s Child is not reuniting.
Former manager Matthew Knowles has made an official statement that “…Destiny’s Child made an unprecedented impact in contemporary music, becoming one of the best-selling groups of all time …The members remain close, but will not reunite as a group,” he says.
He also addresses recent rumours on the net, saying “contrary to rumors online of a Destiny’s Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album.”
So don’t get your hopes up for a 2010 rendition of breakout hit “No No No No No” cause if that wasn’t a big fat “NO” from Beyonce’s daddy, then I don’t know what is.
Destiny’s Child broke out in ’98, hit it up big with audiences and critics despite two group changes (anyone remember the girls from “Bills Bills Bills” or “Say My Name”? Nope? Neither do I), and released their last album as a group, Destiny Fulfilled, in 2004.
Check out what Beyonce & Kelly are up to now, and why Destiny’s Child was so popular!
