Justin Bieber has confirmed that his next single will be Right Here, the singer’s long-awaited collaboration with fellow Canadian superstar, Drake. Bieber shared the news on his Twitter account, saying “New single off of #BELIEVE ?? The next single u should blast up the iTunes Chart & request at radio?? I’m thinking #RightHere feat @Drake”. The song is set to be released to radio on Tuesday, February 26, though no word yet on when or if a video will follow.
Drake wrote the mid-tempo love track for Justin’s 2012 disc Believe, with producer Hit Boy putting the finishing touches on the duo’s first collaboration. News of Right Here acting as Bieber’s next single is a bit of a surprise, considering Justin released Believe Acoustic at the end of January.
During yesterday’s JUNO Awards nominee ceremony it was announced that Bieber and Drake would face off for Fan Choice Award, along with Justin’s protege Carly Rae Jepsen, during the April 21st ceremony in Regina, SK. This year’s JUNO Awards will be hosted by Michael Buble and so far features performances from Buble, Jepsen, Billy Talent and Marianas Trench. Both Drake and Justin Bieber have previously performed at the JUNOs, with Drake hosting the event in 2011.Tweet
