Remember Dumb and Dumberer? Nope? Good. Wipe any membranes of that feeble film attempt to match one of the greatest comedies of all time and prepare yourself for the most annoying sound in the world. While the prequel to 1994′s Oscar-robbed comedy Dumb and Dumber failed to make any dent in the movie world, the cinematic masterpiece is finally getting the sequel it deserves with the real Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, played by the perfect duo of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, dusting off their one-person Moped and reviving their roles as everyone’s favourite golden-hearted idiots.

Dumb and Dumber director Jeff Farley will be taking the reigns once again behind the camera, confirming that both Carrey and Daniels have signed on for the sequel, which begins shooting in September. Farrely explained to ComingSoon.net that Dumb and Dumberer, which did not feature the original cast, failed to launch with fans because “We did not do ‘Dumb and Dumberer’. That was a studio thing. So we’ve always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it. Jim was busy, but he called and said, ‘We’ve got to do this thing again’.”
